2001 National Specialty Parade of Titleholders

Parade of Title Holders

WGSDCII CH Moonshadow's Garden of Eden: TITLES: TT, CGC (Canine Good Citizen), OFA (H&E). Edie started her show career at 11 weeks old taking Best Puppy at 2 out of 4 shows. Her next time in the ring at 6 months old was the 1999 National weekend shows in Dallas, TX. She won her first Winners Bitch for a 3 point major and won Best Puppy in the Nationals Puppy Sweepstakes. Spring 2000 found us on the road again to Dallas, TX, where Edie took Reserve Winners Bitch and Winners Bitch at 3 out of 4 shows for 2 point wins each. In June at the National weekend shows held at Salt Lake City, UT, Edie again took a Winners Bitch for a 3 point major. She also passed her Temperament Test from the American Temperament Test Society and her AKC Canine Good Citizenship that weekend. In November, Edie completed her requirements for her WGSDCII Championship by taking Winners Bitch at 2 out of 4 shows for 2 points each. This year we have competed in our first UKC and ARBA shows. Edie took Reserve Winners Bitch at 4 out of 4 UKC shows. She took one reserve Winners Bitch and Winners Bitch at 3 out of 4 ARBA shows, where she also at one of these shows went on to win Group and Best in Show! First, Tom and I would like to praise God for the many blessings he has given us. We also would like to say a special "Thank you" to Licia Babb for letting us have Edie and "Thanks" to all those who have helped along the way. We have had a wonderful time with our girl over the last 3 years and continue to look forward to many more.

WGSDCII/WGSDF CH O'Leavy's Frieda of Tumbledown: TITLES: A.K.C. Companion Dog, C.K.C. Companion Dog, WGSDCII Championship, WGSDF Championship, CGC (Canine Good Citizen). Our Frieda, from the day we brought her home, has been very loving and intelligent. She had never knowingly done anything wrong. Her 3 litters of pups have been well cared for and taught good manners. Don and I hope we will have 7 more years with our girl.

Wonderland's Silver Eagle: TITLES: A.K.C. Companion Dog, CGC, Herding Certified (OFA). Eagle has always been a great companion, friend and protector. He is very loyal and willing to please. He comes to us in the morning and wants to be petted -- usually on the bed -- but when he has had enough, he is gone. He is not the most affectionate dog -- just wants his share and then he is on his way to playing. He has been the example dog during obedience instruction in the classes his owner, Rose Ingram, teaches. In 1994, he earned the Princess Obedience Memorial Award offered by Joyce Ann Matejcek. This past year, he was diagnosed with ehrlicia, an insect spread disease that attacks the immune system of the host. It was a long battle back to health for Eagle and he is still under a 6 month watch by the vet. Eagle is now 11 and 1/2 and doing great! (Eagle was this year's recipient of the "Penny Award" for the oldest white GSD shown!)

Tumbledown's Artic Pharoah: TITLES: WGSDCII Championship, ARBA Championship, WGSDF Championship, CGC (Canine Good Citizen) (OFA). Also known as "Wild Man," Pharoah accomplished all of hit titles before the age of two. He is trouble looking for a place to happen and Donna has a few gray hairs from his antics. He is a loving pet and my best friend.

Snoopy Dutchess of Bushwick : TITLES: A.K.C. CDX, U.K.C. CDX, Bahamas CDX, Bermuda CDX, HIC (Herding Instinct Certified). Snoopy is a rescue dog who was left to die in a vacant lot in Bushwick, Brooklyn, when only 9 months old. In 1989, at 3 years of age, Snoopy began her obedience training, launching an illustrious career earning the following titles:

Snoopy, soon to be 15 in July 2001, is here today in the Parade of Titleholders to strut her "stuff" and is proof positive that you're never too old to learn new tricks.

Royal Kiss of Cleopatra: TITLES: CGC (Canine Good Citizen). Cleo was our first female white coated German Shepherd. She received her Canine Good Citizen's Certificate at 9 months of age. We plan on adding agility titles to this girl because she has proven to be a natural!

Royal Heaven's Only Sugar: TITLES: CGC (Canine Good Citizen). Sugar is one of a kind. It was not hard to get her Canine Good Citizen Certificate. She is very loving, loyal and obedient. She is an all-around dog -- ready to play or protect -- everything a German Shepherd was meant to be and we love her more with each passing day.

BJ’s Crystal Sno-Spirit: TITLES: TT (Temperament Tested), CGC (Canine Good Citizen), TDI (Therapy Dog International). While Crystal is retired from formal ring showing, she still enjoys getting out once in a while and making people smile and watch her. Stealing hearts and showing the world the beauty, grace and friendliness of her breed is her favorite pastime. Crystal displays a rich, thick coat and a warm personality for the world to see. All-in-all, a wonderful example of a well-adjusted and socially acceptable dog for others to follow and inspire to become. This is BJ's Crystal Sno-Spirit.

Juel's Moon Goddess Luna: TITLES: WGSDF Championship, CGC (Canine Good Citizen), TDI (Therapy Dog International) (OFA). Luna is now three years old. She received both the CGC and TDI when she was only 10 months old. So far in her many visits to the nursing home, she has made an outstanding impression. The residents love her. Besides being a great looking girl, she has personality PLUS!

Vantasia's Durango Ravenwood: TITLES: WGSDCII Championship, White Shepherd Club of Canada Championship, Schutzhund B Title, TT (Temperament Tested) (OFA). Durango showed all the promise of being a TOP white as young as 7 weeks of age. He was that one pup that stood out from the rest of the litter -- that special pup all breeders breed for. But, he not only looks good, he is very sound mentally as well. Durango received his Temperament Tested Certificate in Utah last June. He was Select 1 Male and Best of Opposite Sex in Canada last August, defeating a large entry of males. He also finished his Canadian Championship that weekend. In May of this year, Durango was returned to Vantasia by his owner, Pauline. We realize the decision to give up Durango was a hard one for Pauline and we hope that one day she will be able to own a Durango son or daughter.

Vantasia's Lucia China TITLES: WGSDCII Championship(OFA). China is our Club's first female to win 2 National Specialty Best of Breeds. She has also been able to hold her own against a large entry of females in Canada, winning Winners Female at the 1998 White Shepherd Club of Canada National Specialty. China is another of those "once in a lifetime" breeder's dreams come true but that has never gone to her head! She loves being out with people and other dogs, but has a problem playing nice with cats. Whether she wins or loses, she is loved unconditionally -- as are all of our dogs.
