White Factored Championship

Eligible Dogs

Any AKC or CKC registered German Shepherd that is not white, but has a white parent or has produced white offspring. Proof may be required. Must be at least six months of age and intact. Altered dogs will not be allowed to compete. Dogs will be judged on the WGSDCII Breed Standard except in regards to coat color the AKC GSD Standard will apply which states, “The German Shepherd Dog varies in color, and most colors are permissible. Strong rich colors are preferred. Pale, washed-out colors and blues or livers are serious faults.”

Two titles are offered, Factored Champion (FCH) and Grand Factored Champion (GFCH).

Classes

Novice - For dogs six months of age and over, which have not, prior to the date of closing of entries, won first place in the Novice Class, a first place in the Open class, or one or more WGSDCII Best Factored wins.

Open - For any dogs six months of age and over. All dogs are allowed except dogs that have previously earned an FCH.

The Novice and Open classes are divided by sex. Each class is judged separately and the dogs are awarded placements - 1st through 4th. The 1st place dog/bitches from each Novice and each Open class goes on to compete for Best Factored and Best Opposite Sex Factored. The Best Factored is the dog the judge decides is the best of all the Novice and Open dogs. The Best Opposite Sex Factored is the best dog of the opposite sex of the Best Factored.

To earn a FCH title your factored dog or bitch must win Best Factored five times under five different judges. One of these wins must be against competition. A win against competition means there are 2 or more dogs or bitches entered and competing in the Novice or Open Factored classes.

Factored Champion - For dogs that are Factored Champions

This class compete separately from the dogs in Novice and Open, is not divided by sex, and the judge simply picks the best dog. This dog is the Best Factored Champion. When a dog wins Best Factored Champion five times with competition under three different judges, he is awarded the Grand Factored Champion title. A win against competition means there are 2 or more dogs or bitches entered and competing in the Factored Champions class.
